Italian Grey Literature Database
The term Grey Literature is used to refer to unconventional documents (York, 1978) which are usually not available through traditional channels. The CNR Central Library Database contains essentially technical, scientific or business material, such as: Reports (Preprints, Technical reports, Official documents, Progress reports, Market research reports or Reports issued by committees, commissions, study and working groups); University final-year and Postgraduate dissertations; Reports and Communications of conferences, seminars, round table meetings, etc.; Essays pending approval by academic journals; Statistics and Bibliographies. Users can enter the name of the publication they are looking for in the database query box and retrieve it directly from the website of the issuing body. For unavailable documents, users have to contact the body mentioned in the query box. The new version is managed by the Central Library in cooperation with some bodies and reference institutes belonging to the CNR scientific network.
