The Library is open to the public Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 7pm and on Saturday from 8.30am to 1.30pm. The issue desk closes 30 minutes prior to closing time.
Access to the Library is subject to the issuance of an admission card and is restricted to:

Admission cards are issued on production of either a professional order membership card (or a copy of the degree, if not applicable) or a civil service ID card.
Final-year undergraduates and students attending PhD or other postgraduate courses need their tutors’ authorization to be issued with an admission card.
Please ask the Library staff for further information and forms (a passport-size photograph is required).
On-site photocopies of parts of the library publications can be made by users themselves (for a fee and only for personal use) in compliance with applicable copyright regulations.
In August, on-site services are temporarily suspended to allow for a comprehensive reorganization of the library repository; electronic services are available as usual.
Texts can be consulted on-site in 6 reading rooms with 130 seats.
On-site users can consult the electronic catalogues of the Central Library and the "M. Pallottino" Library, paper versions of books and periodicals, and online periodicals. They can also check the availability of borrowing and photocopying services.
Consultation of other online and CD databases is by appointment only.
Service for off-site users
